In pursuance of different political ambitions in the 2015 general elections across the Country, four commissioners in Delta State Executive Council have resigned from office.

The Commissioners are Hon. Ifeanyi Osuoza - Directorate of Project Monitoring; Hon. Orezi Esievo - Directorate for Special Infrastructure; Hon. Charles Emetulu - Ministry of Energy; and the Chief of Staff, Dr Festus Okubor.

The executive members handed in their resignation to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan. This is in line with the October 20, 2014 deadline of the Peoples' Democratic Party for all public officers who intend seeking elective positions.

While the state PDP Chairman, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi will be running for the Delta North Senatorial seat, the duo of Hon. Esievo and Osuoza will contest for the Delta State House of Assembly in their different constituencies. Hon. Emetulu is a governorship aspirant of the ruling party. As at the time of filing this report, Dr Festus Okubor is yet to reveal his intentions.
