Nigeria: Igiebor, Aluko, Eight Other Eagles Open Abuja Camp

Maccabi Tel-Aviv of Israel midfielder, Noskhare Igiebor, Omatsone Aluko of Hull City and Nigeria Premier League's leading scorer, Ighodalo Osagunna of Rangers of Enugu were among the ten players who opened Super Eagles camp yesterday in Abuja.

The reigning Africa champions are preparing for the must win match against Sudan on Saturday in Omdurman.

According to the statement issued by Eagles media Officer, Ben Alaiya, as at 3pm yesterday, at least ten players had arrived the team's camp with training expected to commence this morning at the training pitch of the Abuja National Stadium.

He also said all other players invited for the game are expected in this evening before dinner time.

Among the other early arrivals are Hope Akpan, Babatunde Michael, Aaron Samuel, Gbolahan Salami of Warri Wolves, his team captain in Warri, towering Azubuike Egwuekwe, Emem Eduok and Chigozie Agbim.

Meanwhile, Head Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, said he was impressed by the response of the players because of the need to bond well before the first leg game against Sudan.

"The response so far has been wonderful and I am in touch with those who are yet to arrive and they will surely be here on time for proper preparation against Sudan.
