The complete and authentic transcript of the once controversial statement concerning some roads in Abia State, and credited to multi-billionaire businessman, Arthur Eze, has been leaked out to the press.

In the document obtained at the weekend by Factnewsonline, it was discovered that the Anambra State-born oil magnet was very much concerned about the plight of Abia people who he noted have been suffering as a result of some Roads leading to the state, which were all in terrible states of disrepair.

“I am very sorry what I saw when I was coming to Abia, I nearly cried, I nearly cried. There's no road, there is no road; federal government” he said.

By his statement, the multi-billionaire showed that he was equally concerned about the people of the state, as well as the scarcity of funds which would have enabled the state government to meet the various needs confronting the people. “Your people are suffering’ he said ‘your children are suffering and nobody cares.”

The statement was made during the 23rd Anniversary of the creation of Abia State, which was created in 1991. The 23rd anniversary celebration was held on Wednesday, August 27, the same date that the state was created. The venue was Michael Okpara Auditorium in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

Eze went on to tell the Governor and all the men of God present at the occasion to take the problem of the state to God in prayer, as well as to President Goodluck Jonathan and the Federal Government.

He believed that only such intervention would change the fortunes of the state in the nearest future. Indeed he believed there must be a time when everybody that mattered in Igbo land should lend a hand in seeing that the changes were made.

Speaking further he declared: “when it is the time to go back to the Senate, we shall go down to Jonathan and kneel down and beg him to come here to see with his eyes because it is only Jonathan that can change your people now…When you go back to Senate kneel to him, Jonathan listens to us”.
