Nigerian Minister of Interior, Abba Moro has enjoined all Nigerians to think of the country’s “giant strides” since independence in 1960, particularly those made by the present administration.

He believes such thoughts would make it possible for the people to appreciate the commendable efforts made the country’s leaders in moving the country forward towards development.

He made this known while declaring Wednesday, October 1, as a Public Holiday for the commemoration of the country’s Independence Day. In a statement released by the Ministry, and signed by the Permanent Secretary, A.G. Magaji, he congratulated Nigerians for the coming of another Independence Day.

In the statement, he congratulated all Nigerians and urged them to build a more united and virile country that would be the pride of all Nigerians wherever they live.
