The Senator representing Bayelsa East, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, has described Governor Nyesom Wike’s visit to Benue State to commiserate with Governor Samuel Ortom as presidential.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure to visit Benue state after the death of over 70 indigenes has generated so many reactions.

Yesterday, Governor Wike was in Benue to commiserate with the people of the state over the gruesome murder of 73 persons earlier this year by bandits.

Sen. Bruce in a tweet questioned why a president would choose to go to Nasarawa state on tour while Benue boils.

He wrote: “Today, Governor Nyesom Wike acted more Presidential than President Buhari. Whereas the President went on tour to Nasarawa state, Wike went on condolence to Benue State. Does a true leader go on tour while his people are being slaughtered? Thank you, Wike, for showing leadership!
