Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has stated that the death of the former Vice President of Nigeria, Dr. Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme GCON, is a colossal loss to the Southeast, Nigeria and Africa.

In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appolos, Governor Ikpeazu described the late Chief Ekwueme as one of Nigeria’s best and noted that his wealth of wisdom, quality advice and exemplary leadership will be missed by all.

He prayed God to grant Ekwueme family, the government and people of Anambra State, Ndi Igbo and Nigerians the fortitude to bear the loss. Governor Ikpeazu also called on all Nigerians to emulate the exemplary life of the departed statesman who lived a life of honest service to God and humanity all through his days on earth.
