Nigeria Pulls Out Of 90 International Bodies

The Federal Government has pulled out from 90 international bodies.
This is to enable it meet up with its obligations.

Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun said the decision was reached at the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting on Wednesday.

  
The Minister further disclosed that the country spends $70 million every year as a member of 310 international organizations. 

She added that it had not been meeting up with its obligations and that a committee has been set up to consider the organizations the country was pulling out from.

They are expected to submit their report within two weeks.
Adeosun explained that the committee will also prioritise the organisation the country will remain as members.
