Governor Obiano appoints 2 new Special Assistants:

Despite having a total of 175 aides for himself and 35 for his wife, [70% came from his home town and from his relations) Governor Obiano today appointed 2 more Special Assistants - one on donor agencies and another one on FADAMA. The two are sons of the Anglican Archbishop of Aguata, Most Rev. Dr. Efobi.

Before today, Obiano's last appointments was SA on Liaison office in Abuja, the 23-year law school student son of the Anambra State Speaker and another one on Entertainment, whose function is blowing the flutes for him. [SA on Oja]

Meanwhile Obiano also has a SA on Fish.

Refurbished APC's

The governor said the gesture confirms that security is indeed one of the major pillars of successful societies.

Observers however are quick to point out that Obiano makes so much noise about such affairs and that he spends more money on noise-making, thereby making the events more expensive than the cost of the project being celebrated.

He also condemned the fact that for a simple presentation of 3 refurbished APC's, local governments around Awka were asked to convey people to the venue, with canopies mounted, food cooked and drinks, including champagne served.

"Are those around the Governor incapable of offering him good advice, Besides spending Billions at that", he asked.

Meanwhile, some soldiers at Onitsha Army barracks were overheard after the governor's visit to the barracks today, complaining that the internal roads for which he gave them N10 million Naira were roads started Peter Obi. Moreso when it was revealed that in line with his extravagance, the governor spent about N25,000,000 on food, mobilization of people, canopies, etc for the visit.

When confronted with the above information, an aide to the governor told elombah.com that Obiano went to inspect the ongoing works (flagged off by Mr Peter Obi), commended the Military for prudent management of the millions given by Chief Obi and graciously gave them a cheque of N10,000,000 to complete the ongoing works.

"This is inline with Gov Obiano' s 4C strategy to Continue with Obi's projects, Complete them, Commission them & Commence new ones", he added.
