Sun Newspaper publishes falsehood - Henry Ikoh

Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, a P.D.P stalwart from Ikwuano L.G.A. and the former Hon. Commissioner for Industry, Science and Technology, Abia State, said that his attention has been drawn to the Saturday Sun publication of 1st July 2017, where it was alleged that satchet water and stones were thrown at Senator T.A. Orji during the burial ceremony of Late Dr. Elekwachi James Chigozirim Nwaogbo at Ntalakwu Oboro.
Let me unequivocally state that the publication was a blatant lie aimed at achieving cheap political point. I was present at the occasion as indigene of Oboro Clan in Ikwuano L.G.A. and as well witnessed the burial processes until the deceased was interred.
When Chief Orji Uzoh Kalu was asked to present his speech, he made a hate speech that the Late Dr. Nwaogbo was secretary to Abia State government when he was a governor, that it was then that Abia was functioning and was good, not Abia of today. People knew the truth and his speech attracted massive murmuring and condemnation.
When Senator T.A. Orji mounted the rostrum to give his speech, there was outstanding cheer from the masses with thunderous shout of (Ochendo). T.A. Orji told Abians at the occasions that he stoped idolatry and swearing to deities before any political office could be granted in Abia State. His speech received outstanding ovation.
Distinguished Senator T.A. Orji is held in very high esteem as a leader with great repute who has considered Ikwuano in all his developmental projects, programmes and empowerments. He exhibited exemplary leadership as a governor and now as a Senator.
Before his arrival as governor, Abia State was a mere glorified village without visible infrastructural development but before the elapse of his eight years tenure as a governor, every Abian became proud to be called Abian.
Despite massive infrastructural development, provision of social amenities and human capital transformation, Senator T.A. Orji actually brought Abia State back to God when the vestiges of evil worship, demonic manipulations and satanic conclaves were jettisoned as prerequisite to access political appointments. His Excellency, the former governor of Abia State, Senator T.A. Orji has rewritten the history of Abia State when he worked tirelessly to ensure that the sacred principles of equity and justice were implemented which has resulted in Abia South having a shot at governorship seat of the state.
The people of Ikwuano L.G.A. and Abians at large see this falsehood published by Sun Newspaper as affront to their sensibilities and called on Sun Newspaper to desist from deceitful, non professional and gorgon Journalism and to refute that publication and tender unreserved apology to Senator T.A. Orji whom history shall always be fair to as the father of modern Abia State.
