Be custodians and instruments of peace, ASOPADEC boss tell youths

Mr. Henry Chilka, the Sole administrator of the Abia State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, ASOPADEC, has urged Abia youths to be custodians and instruments of peace in their various community.

Chilaka gave the charge when a socio-political group “Owaza Political Likeminds” paid him a courtesy visit in his office, in umuahia.


While appreciating them for the visit, He also thanked them for their support during the last election and advised them as leaders of tomorrow to remain focused and always employ dialogue in crisis resolution.


In a separate speech at the visit flagged off in Owaza community, the Special Adviser to the Governor on ASOPADEC Matters and Rural Infrastructure, Chief Ike Onyenwaku, observed that the present administration under Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu will not toy with youths.


He encouraged them to remain straightforward and dynamic while carrying other youths along in all they do and pointed out that Ukwa west is important to the state.


Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of Owaza Political Likeminds, Comrade Nwaozichi Ogbuji said the group which is aimed at ensuring political harmony in Owaza came to felicitate Mr. Henry Chilaka in his recent appointment as sole administrator in ASOPADEC and congratulated the Governor on his victory, asking God for his guidance.


In a vote of thanks, Udochukwu Nwambu thanked, Mr. Chilaka for the warm reception given them, asking for God’s guidance.


He then pleaded that the group be remembered anytime the Commission embarks on youth empowerment.
