Ban on use of Siren by unauthorized persons is still in Force - Abia Police Command

The Abia State Police Command wishes to remind the general public that the BAN ON USE OF SIREN by unauthorized persons on roads in the Country including Abia State is still in Force.


 The Commissioner of Police Abia State has therefore directed all his personnel to enforce the order on this unwholesome practice throughout the State.


 For purpose of CLARITY, those entitled to the use of SIREN in the State are:


1. THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR

2. THE ASSISTANT INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE

3. THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE

4. THE BRIGADE COMMANDER

5. THE FIRE SERVICE AND AMBULANCES WHEN ON EMERGENCY DUTIES.


Persons outside the personalities / Institutions mentioned above in the State having SIREN on their vehicles are advised to dismantle it OR be made to face the Law.
