The senate has confirmed the two ministerial nominees sent by President Muhammadu Buhari.

They are Professor Stephen Nkani Ocheni (Kogi State) and Mr. Suleiman Zana Hassan (Gombe State).

While Ocheni is replacing James Ocholi, former minister of state for labour and productivity, who died in a road crash, Hassan from Gombe is the replacement for Amina Mohammed, former minister of environment, who is currently at the United Nations.

Ocheni obtained a doctorate degree in public finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2004.
