Fayose appointed Chairman PDP Governors' forum

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has emerged the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum.
Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Seriake Dickson made the announcement in Abuja late on Thursday night. With this appointment, Fayose succeeds the outgoing governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
Mimiko, who was absent at the meeting where Fayose was picked, succeeded a former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Only five states were represented at the meeting.
PDP chieftains at the meeting includes; the Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jibrin and the Chairman of its National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, were however in attendance.
