The former Governor of Abia State, Theodore Ahamefula Orji has debunked rumours making rounds that he is the owner of the newly opened Abia Mall in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
Speaking at the official unveiling of the Abia Mall which also houses Shoprite, the Senator representing Abia Central noted that a group known as "Save Abia", have been deceiving the people with reports that he owns Abia Mall.
Senator Orji explained that the host community, Amuzukwu, donated the land to the state for economic advancement.
While expressing delight for a dream come true, he said the project would create employment opportunities for the indigenes of the place.
He enjoined the management of the mall to live up to expectations and thanked those who made the project a success.
