As part of his contributions to ensure the repositioning of Nigeria’s ailing economy, Senator Theodore Ahamefule Orji will meet with government parastatals, ministries and security agencies to seek patronage of made in Aba products. This move by the immediate past governor of Abia State who represents Abia central senatorial district is part of his objectives to promote spirit of excellence among youths as well as encourage entrepreneurship.

Given this assurance to delegation of Abia State Leather and Allied Product Manufacturers led by the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to Abia State governor, Mr. Sam Hart who paid him a courtesy visit in his Abuja office last week, Sen. Orji said this move will empower our local producers, save foreign exchange as well as create jobs for our youths.

Sen. Orji who said he wears made in Aba products promised to prevail on all relevant government agencies and security outfits to emulate the Nigerian Army which recently placed orders for made in Aba boots in patronizing locally made Aba products. The leader of the delegation, Mr. Hart, however conveyed to Sen. Orji, the personal assurance of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on the support and direct involvement of Abia State Government to ensure top quality production.
