Indiscriminate parking of vehicles within Aba urban

It has come to the notice of the Abia State Government that people park vehicles  indiscriminately within Aba urban, thereby creating vehicular and human traffic challenges.

To this end, the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, is appealing to all residents and visitors whose vehicles are parked indiscriminately along Ochefu, Owerrinta, Weeks streets and other areas in Aba to immediately remove them from the streets.

The Governor has directed the Deputy General Manager of the Traffic and Indiscipline Management Agency of Abia State (TIMAAS) , Mr Bright Ikeokwu, to commence removal of the vehicles parked on Ochefu Road and other adjoining streets at Aba (including those parked by motor mechanics) from Tuesday 6th September 2016.

The Governor is also appealing to those who park indiscriminately along St Michaels, Jubilee, Hospital and other roads to regulate themselves by ensuring that all parked vehicles are on a single lane pending the proper designation of parking zones and lots for Aba inner city.
