The Police in Abia State have arrested one Prophet Chibunna Onyenweaku for alleged car snatching.

The State Police Commissioner, Adeleye Oyebade presented the suspect before newsmen in Umuahia.

Ordinarily, clergymen are held in high esteem in society because of the general belief that they are ministers of God.

However, the story of Prophet Chibuna Onyenweaku has the tendency to counter this belief.

Some of the work tools of this man are plate numbers and he claims to be a minister of one of the Pentecostal churches in Nigeria. He says his branch is at Amasiri in Ebonyi State, where he allegedly performs what may be termed “miracles of car snatching and recovering” to his unsuspecting members.

He is said to have a master key that unlocks all vehicles irrespective of the model.

This has been his stock in trade for years till luck ran out on him recently as the Abia State Police Command apprehended him in Ohafia, following a tip off.

The supposed clergyman who confessed to the crimes said he has stolen about 6 Camry cars and sold to some unsuspecting members of the public to a price as low as sixty thousand naira.

Parading the suspect, the Commissioner of Police, Abia State, Adeleye Oyebade said car snatching and other crim

According to CP Oyebade, diligent investigations of the case would be carried out and prosecution carried out accordingly.

He warned criminals and ex-convicts hiding in the state to make a u-turn as there would be no hiding place for them.

He reiterated the commitment of the command to use the safer highways, and intelligence led policing to ensure that all flashpoints are covered.

inal activities won’t be tolerated in the state.
