Police Warns Against Violence In Imo North Re-Run

The Imo State Police Command has warned political parties to conduct itself ahead of the Imo North re-run elections.

Imo State Deputy Supritendent of Police, DSP, Andrew Enwerem, in a statement, said that Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris said the police will patner with other security agencies to ensure the success of the polls.

Enwerem urged political leaders to ensure that their candidates and supporters do desisit from violence, during and after the polls.

The Command noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies had warned political parties to avoid hate speeches during campaigns and election.
