Twitter suspends Niger Delta Avengers' Account

The Twitter account, @NDAvengers, belonging to the Niger Delta Avengers which they use to announce their activities, has been suspended by Twitter.
On checking the account which has over 30.7k followership today, it was observed that tweets from the account could not be refreshed. Also, a message which reads "this account you are trying to view has been suspended" pops up.
Confirming this in a statement on Facebook, The spokesman of the Avengers, Mudoch Agbinibo, said
“Notice! This is to bring to your notice that our twitter handle @www.twitter.com/@ndavengers has been suspended and our blog @www.nigerdeltaavengers disabled.
“We use this medium to appeal to our fans and supporter to be very careful with any website or twitter claiming to represent us. We shall launch new accounts soon! We must continue the struggle!!!”
The militants had on Sunday morning, made series of tweets to annouce its attacks on oil facilities operated by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Chevron Nigeria Limited and Nigerian Petroleum Development Company.
