Enyimba Names Technical Adviser

Warri Wolves handler, Paul Aigbogun has named the technical adviser of Nigeria Professional Football League reigning champions, Enyimba.

Paul Aigbogun replaces Kadiri klana, who led the Peoples Elephant to their 7th league title.

Aigbogun won the third confederation cup as an assistant coach in 2013. His appointment is with immediate effect.

He will lead the Nigerian Champions in their bid for a third CAF Champions league title. Enyimba will face Uganda Champions Vipers SC in the first leg of CAF Champions League on February 12th and 14th. They will also play the Edward Golola’s side at the Enyimba International Stadium Aba a fortnight later.

The winner of the tie will progress to the next round to face either Lioli FC of Lesotho or Burundian Champions Vital “O” in March.

Meanwhile, Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu today inspected the rehabilitation of Enyimba International Football Club, Aba.

Nigeria’s Dream Team six assistant coach, Fatai Amoo has called for caution in Super Eagles B team Pre-CHAN clash against Ivory Coast. He said absolute carefulness is needed in the sides approach to the game ahead of the biennial championship which starts on January 16th.

Nigeria are in Group C with Niger, Guinea and Tunisia. The Eagles will begin their title chase on the opening day of the game against Niger in Kigali, Rwanda.

Winner of the 2015 Africa Player of the year, Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang, has described his victory as a pointer tot eh quality of Football in Gabon.

The 26 year old beat Ivorian Yaya Toure and Ghana’s Andre Ayew to the crown, which is the most prestigious individual award in African football.

He is the first player from the Central African country to win the award.

His recognition comes despite a year without a trophy. He was captain of the Gabonese team that was eliminated in the first round of the African Nation Cup finals in Equatorial Guinea, while his club finished seventh in Bundlesliga last season.
