Senate Unveils Ministerial Nominees

As the screening of ministerial nominees gets underway, indications have emerged that it may not be business as usual where the nominees are asked to take a bow and go.
 
Senate President Bukola Saraki is expected to unveil the list today at resumption of plenary.
 
 
Some senators noted that the screening will be done in accordance with the nations’ constitution, and its rules.
 
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa of Abia North said the red chamber will ensure that ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria must merit and most meet constitutional requirements of the appointments, adding that the screening will be stringent.
 
He said that integrity is very important and will not be toiled with.
 
Meanwhile the list of nominees are Lai Mohammed, Ogbonnaya Onu, Chris Ngige, Solomon Dalong, chibuike Amaechi, Udoma Udo Udoma, Babatunde Fashola, Audu Ogbeh, Ibe Kachikwu, Amina Ibrahim, Musa Ibeto, Abubakar Malami, Kayode Fayemi, Kemi Adeoshun, Aisha Alhassan, Hadi Sarika, Adebayo Shittu, Ibrahim Usman Jibirl, Samsom  Ehanire Osagie, Suleiman Adamu and Abdulraham Dambazzau.
 
The senate is expected to begin screening on Tuesday, Oct the 13th.
