Hayatou made this assurance when the NFF president Amaju Pinnick paid him a visit in Younde, Cameroon, earlier in the week.

The CAF president emphasized that Nigeria is very important to Africa and plays influential roles in the continent’s affairs.

He lauded the measures which the present NFF had taken to rebuild Nigeria football, and maintained that CAF would only support a candidate who has Africa’s interest at heart for the forthcoming FIFA elections.
