French President, Francois Hollande has stated his administration’s readiness to support the Multinational Joint Task Force, in its fight against terrorism in Nigeria and Africa.

The French President spoke at a joint news conference with President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Elsee Palace, Paris.

Hollande said that his government was concerned about the increasing surge of insecurity in Nigeria and West Africa, and will assist the fight against terrorism through provision of equipment and intelligence gathering.

He warned that the Boko Haram had expanded after declaring its loyalty to ISIL, which now provides the sect with material resources.

While commending President Buhari for his actions towards defeating terror, he noted that France had concluded arrangements to invest 130 million Euros in the development of infrastructure in Nigeria for rebuilding roads, provision of electricity and water supply.
