Boko Haram insurgents are once again demanding that the Chibok girls kidnapped in Borno State on April 14, be exchanged for their members held by the government.

The negotiator for the insurgents who spoke to Associated Press on conditions of anonymity, said he couls not disclose the details, but added that the recent killings by the group was geared towards seeking a stronger negotiation with the federal government.

The negotiator said the five-week old administration of President Buhari offers a clean-state to bring the militants back to negotiations that had become poisoned by the different security agencies.

Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina had at the weekend said Nigeria's government would not be averse to talks with the sect.

It will be recalled that this same offer was made last year to the former government of Goodluck Jonathan, but receieved condemnations from Nigeria.
