IGP orders local govt authorities out of Nigerian highways

Following public outcry on extortions and disruptions of free flow of human and vehicular movements by local government officials in the guise of seeking funds for local government authorities on the highways, the inspector general of Police, Solomon Arase has instructed all Commissioners of Police across the country to stop these activities forthwith.
The IGP warned that anyone caught in the act will have to face the full weight of the law
