INEC insists on the use of PVC's, card readers for Saturday's polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has maintained that only those with the Permanent Voter Cards are allowed to the polling units tomorrow.
INEC Chief Press Secretary, Kayode Idowu who revealed this in a statement, noted that the guidelines on the use of Smart Card Readers, for the elections would be strictly applied, adding that the commission got reports from some quarters demanding that the guidelines indicating that the Permanent Voter Cards and the Smart Card Readers would be used for the governorship and states houses of assembly elections be disregarded.
He warned that anyone without PVC's should not come to the polling units to avoid been apprehended by security agents.
The commission however,hailed voters for their peaceful conduct and exemplary resilience in the face of minor challenges of March 28.
