Abia State government has described as disappointing the shooting of one Mr. Frank Dickson of Oboro in Ikwuano Local Government Area of the State by a security guard attached to the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Dr. Alex Otti during a face-off with the People's Democratic Party, PDP,owing to venue clash and called for investigation into the matter.

At a press briefing in Umuahia, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, A.C.B Agbazuere, who condemned the attack, decried the attitude of the guber candidate of APGA, which he said is geared towards disrupting the peace of the state.
Agbazuere warned politicians to desist from inciting the public by their statements and actions which he said was against the "peace pact" signed in the state by all political office seekers recently.

The commissioner further noted that the humane nature of the state governor, Chief Theodore Orji should not be taken for granted, emphasizing that the state government will no longer condone the acts of indiscipline by any individual, group, organization or political party trying to tamper with the peace experienced in the state.

It will be recalled that the APGA governorship candidates camp was said to have allegedly shot an Isiala Ngwa South House of Representatives member,Darlington  Nwokocha and attacked and destroyed the campaign posters of the PDP governorship candidate, Okezie Ikpeazu in Uturu, which the party denied in a press statement.
