Factional leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Victor Umeh and his friend Alex Otti, a governorship aspirant in Abia State have been accused of lying excessively.

The accusation was made by Charles Ajunwa, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Abia State Governor, who described the duo as pathological liars and agents of destruction masquerading as politicians. Ajunwa was reacting to comments credited to the duo that all roads in Aba, the state business hub, were in deplorable condition, and unattended to by the current government of Theodore Orji. The CPS insisted that Abia State government under Orji has constructed new roads in the city and rehabilitated old ones more than any other government that have governed the state.

He rhetorically asked: “Where were Umeh and Otti when His Excellency Governor Theodore Orji through, his inspiring doggedness restored sanity and peace in Aba in particular and Abia in general, by ending kidnapping which had previously completely brought all activities in the state to a standstill? Where were Umeh and Otti when Governor Theodore Orji started and completed the hitherto impassable Aba/Owerri Road? Where were Umeh and Otti when His Excellency started the de-silting of drains in Aba? Where were Umeh and Otti when Governor T.A. Orji constructed the Uruakpa Road?”
