Abia State Police assures of peaceful yuletide

The Commissioner of Police,Abia State, Adamu Ibrahim,has assured Abians of a peaceful and safe yuletide,while warning criminals to desist from crime to avoid the wraths of the law. The Commissioner stated this at a briefing with newsmen in Umuahia.


Adamu noted that the police remains committed to ensuring that Abia State remains safe for residents.
Amamba Bright Kenneth, Chiamaka Ugumba and Samuel Udemba were arrested in Umuozuo,Uratta,Isiala Ngwa,while negotiating to sell a stolen six year old boy.


Also another suspect,Ukwa Okoro was apprehended for killing his girlfriend.
Adamu,while decrying the activities of hoodlums expressed optimism that the police will win the fight against crime,adding that some of the suspects were arrested for armed robbery,rape,assasination,unlawful possession of arms,thuggery and malicious damage.


Items recovered from the suspects include matchets,a tricycle with Reg No HAF 462QB,masks,live catrridges,dane guns,locally made pistols,among others.
